Project Goal
To streamline the travel experience for inbound tourists by providing a seamless clothing rental flow, effectively eliminating the physical and mental stress of heavy luggage.
UX Solutions & Key Features
1) Inventory-First User Flow
By requiring users to input their travel dates at the start, the app filters and displays only available items for that specific period. This prevents the “out-of-stock” frustration at the final checkout stage, ensuring a seamless user journey that never disappoints.

2) Gender-Neutral & Sustainable Visual Identity
I implemented a minimal, gender-neutral design to ensure inclusivity. The color palette features earthy tones—with a focus on deep greens—to communicate the service’s commitment to sustainability (reducing CO2 emissions by minimizing heavy cargo transport).
3) Prioritizing the “Joy of Selection”
I strategically moved tedious administrative tasks, such as address entry and payment details, to the very end of the process. This allows users to focus on the most exciting part—choosing their outfits—without interruptions, maximizing their emotional engagement.

4) Scene-Based Curated Collections
To boost user motivation, I proposed curated outfits tailored to iconic travel scenarios, such as “Autumn in Kyoto.” This helps international travelers visualize themselves in specific cultural contexts, creating an emotional connection to the service.

5) Visualizing the “Lightness” Reward
Based on the volume of clothes selected, the UI displays a message like: “You saved Xkg of luggage weight!” By quantifying the physical benefit of the service, I provided a clear, tangible incentive for travelers to choose rental over packing.

6) Social Proof Integration
I integrated real-world user styling from Instagram directly onto the product pages. Seeing how other travelers styled their rentals provides authentic visual inspiration and builds a high level of trust and motivation.
